Maybe not, but it is not impossible. The ethymotology for atom (atomic) 
originates from greek and just means "undividable" and from the way I 
read that reference, that is the same way it is used in this context[1]. 
So I wouldn't think twice about simply translating it directly, and I 
have done so myself.
