To be honest, if damned-lies could read python syntax this would be
fine but I guess it can't and then I think the dummy Makefile.am
solution is just as good. None of the solutions are as good as
POTFILES.in + LINGUAS files since those both files are simple lists
(easier to parse, edit and merge since every entry is on its own
line).
