IMO damned-lies integration is a must, but how it will be done is the question.

The choice is between making the catalog manager pretty GNOME specific
by making DL integration in the core.
Or leaving it as a generic catalog manager with a plugin for
damned-lies integration.

What do you guys think?

I think is better a plugin.  Because maybe someone wants to make a plugin
for kde DL equivalent.
