Re: The Irish translation

Claude,

I can confirm the below email, sorry for the delay getting back to you, been busy the last month with change of job and city.

Sean is correct in that there hasn't been much in the way of work done in several years, so seen that he has an interest in improving the current state of affairs he should be allowed to take over maintenance of it.

Hello,
I've recently been working on updating and improving the Irish
translation of GNOME. As such, I contacted the coordinator for the Irish
team. He has indicated to me that the project has been dead for a number
of years and that he himself does not have CVS access any longer. As
such, I would like to take over and begin making changes. I have a small
number of people who have suggested that they would be willing to help
and I myself have been attempting to make inroads on many of the
untranslated or fuzzy strings.

It's always great to hear that a language team is regaining new
motivation !

I have CC'd the current coordinator on
this email in case he has anything to say on the matter. Thank you.

Yes, it's important we get feedback directly by the former coordinator.
Paul, please confirm.

Claude
