From the final patch attached to the aforementioned bug report I guess
the string is: "%1$s on %2$s", which the bug reporter already suggested
to be commented for translators as:

/* Translators: this is to display "directory on hostname", such as
"Documents on anotherbox.com" */

In gnome-panel, there is indeed an identical string:

#. Translators: the first string is a
#. * path and the second string is a
#. * hostname. nautilus contains the same
#. * string to translate.
#: ../gnome-panel/panel-menu-items.c:436
#, c-format
msgid "%1$s on %2$s"
msgstr "%1$s pe %2$s"

I guess it's one of those cases in which is safe to automatically import
the already existing translations. As the maintainer of the Romanian
translation for GTK+, I agree with and welcome your proposal.

Thanks,
