This may indicate that a maintainer accidentally created a tag,
instead of a branch (missing "-b" in "cvs tag" command).  (check if
it's listed under "branches" on http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/gtkhtml/).

If that's the case, you'll need Gnome SysAdmin team to help with hand
editing of CVS structure.
