GNOME 2.12 will be the next release. For the release schedule, please
see http://live.gnome.org/ReleasePlanning_2fTwoPointEleven. A new major
GNOME release comes every six months, give or take a few weeks. So GNOME
2.12 is scheduled to be released in September this year, about six
months after GNOME 2.10 was released.

If you commit your work to the HEAD branches (i.e. the branches
currently pointed to by the GNOME 2.12 translation status pages), your
work will automatically end up in GNOME 2.12 and all later releases.
There will be added and changed messages of course, but the translations
you've produced will automatically be re-used as far as possible.

On the other hand, if you commit to the gnome-2-10 branches (i.e. the
branches pointed to by the GNOME 2.10 translation status pages), your
work will only end up in GNOME 2.10, and at this point it is unlikely
that there will be any more GNOME 2.10.x releases produced.
