So, in order to summarize, the new spokespersons for the GNOME

    Danilo Åegan <danilo gnome org>
    Christian Rose <menthos gnome org>

I'm still peeling off my GNOME shrinkwrap, so I don't really know Kjartan, but I can see by all the work that has gone into GNOME i18n, that he and Christian have done a lot for all of us, and for every user who benefits from localized GNOME software.

I've found Danilo very helpful on i18n mailing lists, and he has a lot of ability and experience. I wish him luck, and I'm sure he will be a great asset in the job. :)
