Oh, sorry. The dates mentioned in the commit logs confused me.

Looking again, it seems what you was doing was reverting a previous
string-freeze breaking change, so that the net change is now nil¹.
In that case, there's nothing to do, everything is ok, we should all be
very thankful you did that, and all forget this issue. Again, I'm deeply
sorry.
