Hi people. I know that you will hate me for this, but I think it should be done. I will commit a change inside gnome-control-center that will add about 420 new strings to translate. They are country and language names. The new strings are there because the localization capplet I'm developing. The capplet is not functional now because the libicu dependency removal is not finished (and that's why we have now all those new strings) but I want to upload them now because you can review them and start the translation as soon as possible. The language and country names are from the ISO-639 and ISO-3166 standards and some translations are already available so please, try to reuse them and also improve and finish the main translations at: http://www2.iro.umontreal.ca/translation/registry.cgi?domain=iso_639 http://www2.iro.umontreal.ca/translation/registry.cgi?domain=iso_3166 In the future I'm planning to develop an external library that will be shared between all modules that need those iso translations but it's too late to do it before GNOME 2.6 so, excuse me for the inconvenient to add duplicated strings now, but it's needed if we want the localization capplet inside GNOME 2.6 and of course all translations will be reused in the future. Menthos, How do you see it?, and the other translators? Do you think it's too late?, I will do the commit in about three or four hours waiting for your comments. Of course it could be removed after the commit if you think it's better to wait for GNOME 2.8.
