Not a way that I know of. But I know there is at least a bug report
requesting this feature be added to glade:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115635

You can add comments there. For the other cases you mention, schema and
general xml files, I'm not aware of any requests, so it would probably
be good to also add such reports, as you mention.
