That is certainly much better, but as you imply, it's not perfect

Yes, I think this is the best thing to do. I'll also watch out for any
similar occurences, and report all of those too.
If it can be fixed with a different design, it should be fixed. Of
course, lets not put our hopes high for a quick solution, more so
because the problem has been lingering for a while. And since we heard
"rumours" (if stories by Evolution hackers should be called rumours :-)
of Evolution getting interface redesigned, this is one thing they
should keep in mind in that process.

Btw, would you consider starting a one common bug for these issues just
like bug #116236 is for ngettext? I think many other similar issues are
going to pop out once we turn on our detectors for that, and one
reference point for general discussion is always nice to have ;-)
