Announcement:

GnuCash, the free personal finance manager, is heading towards a new
stable release series. Beta packages are released now every other week,
and the final release 1.8.0 is scheduled for December 8, 2002.

[...]

Note that the GnuCash
source is not on cvs.gnome.org but on our own server
cvs.gnucash.org. Also note that we've created a glossary for the
accounting terms used in GnuCash. In the package it can be found in the
directory po/glossary under the name gnc-glossary.txt.

The previous stable release series GnuCash-1.6.x already offered
complete translations for the following 13 languages: da de es_NI fr hu
it ja pt pt_BR ru sk sv zh_TW. These are all available on cvs.gnome.org,
module gnome-i18n, in the directory extra-po/gnucash/.

Now it's up to you, dear team coordinators, to decide which
translations should go through the robot or not. All above mentioned
translations are marked as "external" at the moment -- tell me when I
should change it for your language.

I'm curious how it will work for all of us and the gnucash user
community!

All the best,
Karl
