In the case in question, I've added a comment :
  /* NOTE to translators: DO NOT translate "Control*" part, it is a
parsed string
     Only change the "t" part to something that makes sense in your
language.
     This string defines Ctrl-T as "Move all selected items to the
Trash" */
right before the "Control*t" string in the code. Hope that helps.
