Isn't asking the maintainers of the files first nicer, regardless of the 
problem?

I don't know about that. However, Gtk+ 2 seems to me far away, so I 
don't think it is a problem yet.

Yes, please do that, at least for sv.po. When the "Big Switch to UTF-8" 
has to take place, we can manage that ourselves for sv.po. In the 
meantime, I'd like to be able to update the file.
