A lot of people pointed out that filing NEW bugs by default meant that UNCONFIRMED became a useless state - all it meant was that a bug had come from bug-buddy rather than the web interface. The general idea here was that the bugsquad can move bugs to NEW when they triage it, and there's enough information, and there seemed to be enough maintainer-happiness when I did a quick poll on #gnome-hackers that it seemed worth doing. (I was going to mention it before doing the upgrade, but things were rushed in the last 24 hours ;) If we don't like it, we can revert it. PS. A "what's changed semantically" e-mail should be coming soon. It's just not written yet. -- Andrew Sobala <aes gnome org>
