I'm not sure how you propose keeping code in gnome-libs and entry points in
libcompat. There are currently two things that happen in gnome-libs
Parts that are not used AT ALL anywhere in gnome-libs are in libcompat. If
there are some public entry points which are deprecated but the module is
still mostly intact for for the library, then the module is still in
libgnome/libgnomeui, but the public entry points are guarded by an #ifdef for
the deprecated stuff.
Just because something is not in libcompat doesn't mean it has public entry
points in a non-deprecated build.
