FWIW, I was still using my Amiga (25MHz, 16Mb) running AmigaOS last year
as desktop/mail/web, and it feels still faster than my dual PIII/1GHz
running Gnome 1.4.
And don't get me started about the feature set.
My daily job consists of hacking embedded devices running uClinux. Soon
they'll get a screen and one day they'll require a desktop environment.
Do you think Gnome3.0 will run on something equivalent to today's Ipaq ?
