Again, what is the problem with users changing things?

Showing how things work, what they can do, etc, etc, is fine. But the
"I know what you want and you can not rid off this" is not what I
would call nice approach, some people move from one systems to others
based in that.

I agree. As a matter of fact, I predict that with all the "hand-holding" propositions going around the list, gnome will shortly begin losing its current user base (especially because most people that I know that use gnome do so because "KDE feels too much like windows").
