A small applet that has a stack of items.. When you drag something
into the applet it is pushed on the stack. You should also be able
to grab an item for a drag and drop into some other application..

There should be a popup menu with the usual cut-n-paste..

How should the applet resize if there is only one item visible?
Only top item and the rest as a popup list?

What kind of objects should it handle? Text? Images? Icons? Files?

Have anyone thought that one function for the new MacOS X dock is to work
as a visual clipboard? I mean dragging some object from the application to
the dock, switching to another app and dragging the object into it. I
haven't used it so I don't now how it works precisely.

But recardless if that feature is in OS X, it would be a good candidate
feature if we want consistent, intuitive etc. behaviour.
