Vector graphics scale well down to some limit, belowe that
limit nothing look very good.
There should be defined some algorithm all icons should pass
because there *will* be plattforms that cant use some icon sizes,
some colors (or colors anyhow), etc, etc..
I belive it is possible to define a better sampling algorithm
that should do a good job at least down to 24*24. On something
like a PDA this is still too big, perhaps it should work at 12*12.
One solution could be to define a set of predefined transforms
and use resampling of one of those.
Perhaps shading could be put in a separate layer, that would help..
