Maybe a better sampling algorithm could fix the problem of icon
scalling. I'm asumming that right now that icons are averaged to produce
the smaller images. It is possible to loose a lot of information by
simply averaging an image, that might contribute to why smaller images
might look less recognizeable from their larger counterparts.
