In order to be of help, I try to become acquainted with what has been done
by reading the gnome-gui-list archive (I hope to finish this quickly, someone
please mark personal rants in red :-) and just now I try to get the apple ui
guidelines in PDF (from a mirror, the main site is _very_ slow).

Has it been discussed if the examples should go into an Appendix or inline in
the document already?

I took a look, and when I've got the Apple HIGuidelines and waded through the
gui-list-archive, I try to spit some useful stuff out.
