Please avoid yes/no in favor of the actions themselves printed on the
buttons (who really reads the question anyway?  Most people answer the y/n
question they think is being asked without really reading it).

Instead:

You have asked to exit, but the file has unsaved changes.

<Save changes, then exit>  <Discard changes and exit>  <Don't exit>

where <save...> is the default (enter) and <don't exit> is the cancel (esc).
