Please tell me name of that SDL application so I can test it and hopefully I will be able to reproduce crash.

I am using lightdm.

ok, I "may" have figured out the culprit. I have a SDL1 application
running. Whenever it is running, metacity crashes when I minimize other
applications but not the SDL1 application.

I also have a question. Which display manager do you use?
