[gnome-flashback] quite a few bugs. in gnome-panel

Hi all,
There seem to be quite a number of bugs in the recent gnome-panel .
For e.g. I am suffering from
# 673049, #727047 , #710094 and #733228 from the Debian BTS.

While I am/was able to  fix #727047 by the workaround shared, for the
others I'm non-plussed. Here's how the components to which gnome-panel
are linked or shared with.
