Re: [gnome-flashback] Releasing gnome-panel 3.8.1, 3.10 for trusty ?, the state of master, RFH for code review

Hi all,
FWIW debian is on verge of completing 3.12 transition .
www.0d.be/debian/debian-gnome-3.12-status.html

The only holdouts are debian-bluetooth and work is going to fix the
underlying issue therein :-

See bugs.debian.org/755274 . Bluez will transition to testing in 3
days from now.

[01:56:57] <pochu> as soon as bluez transitions, it will be over
[02:13:43] <shirish> pochu: shouldn't that signal 3.12 transition
complete, or some more things need to happen ?
[02:14:35] <pochu> yes, 3.12 will also finish as soon as bluez
transitions to testing

the debian-gnome team was planning to have 3.14 in testing/jessie but
as there seems to be not enough time to test (3.14 would be released
end September if all goes well.)
https://wiki.gnome.org/ThreePointThirteen

while Debian Jessie would have only couple of months after that as
freeze is in November 2014.

I have also seen there are usually fixes to the upstream module
releases and there is also a bit of latency as packaging is concerned.

Looking forward to a release from the faster so I can nudge the
debian-gnome to try the new version from master.

Looking forward to a new release from the master.
