Ortografía de la lengua española, 2010, p. 590:
«Aunque el símbolo % […] se ve frecuentemente escrito sin separación de la
cifra que lo precede, la norma establecida por la Oficina Internacional de
Pesos y Medidas determina que se escriba precedido de un espacio. Para evitar
que la separación resulte excesiva, puede utilizarse un espacio fino.»

I’ve been correcting this in LibreOffice and Xfce. Windows 8 (parts) and Office
2013 are already separating the %. Now it’s GNOME’s turn :-)
I’m not asking for an immediate fix for all and every GNOME module, instead,
let’s do this per module, gradually, when time permits.
