[Fwd: Desktop User Guide Section 1.2.2 Window Shortcut Keys]

Hi,

Playing with this a bit more, there are actually many keys on the
keyboard such as function keys, tab keys, super key etc that will have
no effect on Alt + F7 and Alt + F8 at least on my keyboard - Ubuntu 8.04
Gnome 2.22.3. On Ubuntu 10.04 NBR Gnome 2.30.0 (Configuration Editor
level) the function keys do terminate Alt + F7 and Alt + F8 but shift,
ctrl, super key do not terminate. Esc still cancels the move/resize.

thanks

Hi,

I'd like to point out a small inaccuracy in the Desktop User Guide
Section 1.2.2 Window Shortcut Keys
http://library.gnome.org/users/user-guide/2.30/shortcuts-window.html.en

For Alt + F7 and Alt + F8 it's not quite true that you can press any key
to finish the move or resize. Esc does not work.

I realize this is a small exception but I just happened by instinct to
try Esc when experimenting with these shortcuts as it is generally a
harmless key to press... In fact this is probably an intentional useful
feature that you should document.

thanks for all your efforts in creating the documentation. It is very
helpful.
