OK, our documentation in general is outdated, and that's not
anywhere in, e.g., the GDP Handbook.  But it really is pretty
simple.

You're likely running into the relative-path bug, which was
fixed at some point, then creeped back in.  Try:

yelp `pwd`/file.xml
