Hi!
You can log in to Identi.ca via OpenID, however you still have to setup
a password that your account can be accessed via their API.
If the user doesn't setup a password an error message saying
authentication failed is displayed as if the user entered the wrong
password.
This patch adds a label to the preferences dialog of the identi.ca
module describing this situation and linkbutton to the identi.ca page.
A screenshot and the patch are attached to bug 550297[1].
