Hey guys,
last night I took an hour or so to look over the sysadmin guide that
we're currently shipping with gnome 2.22 (the document is still called
"Gnome 2.14 ...").
The removal of '2.14' in the title has been committed some days ago,
but yes, this document need serious love!
I have a bunch of notes that I'll append below. I wonder if there is
somebody with the skill and interest in working on an updated
version of this document. I'm willing to expand the notes with
necessary details
or find the domain experts to do that, if there are some writers how
would turn those notes into an actual document...
<snip>
IMHO this work would be very appreciated. I'd be glad to help, but my
time is limited (still according priority to i18n).
Regarding sabayon/lockdown, there is an existing document that needs
to be merged with this guide.
See http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=491780
I suggest creating a new Wiki page to track this work. Raw texts can
be written there, then I'm sure we'll find volunteers to integrate it
in DocBook.
Regards,
Claude
