It depends on what new feature you want. Some of them work,
some of them don't. But then, there are 4.1.2 features that
don't work as well.
Basically, my advice is to use whatever DocBook 4 version
you need to validate your document, but always test your
document in Yelp.
(I don't have any plans to do DocBook 5 at this time.)
