To speak of "the boat" is a misunderstanding, because that implies all
of society has made a single decision.  In fact, there are thousands
of "boats", which have sailed in different directions.  GNOME is one
of them.  The question at hand is which way GNOME should go.

I think GNOME should do the right thing, which is,
to encourage recognition of the GNU operating system
from which it comes.
