Doc writing software?

Hey,

I've lately been thinking about trying to contribute to the GNOME
documentation in some way -- I don't have enough time to code these
days, but I'd like to do something useful for the community. Is there a
good/standard program that people use for writing and editing GNOME
documentation? I'm thinking either gtk-doc documentation or more generic
DocBook files.
