Didn't we already went through this? Renaming the project doesn't make
it any easier to develop it. There is no sensible logic to that
argument.

Gdl can already be build with only gtk+ deps. Johannes did that and you
get a configure switch to disable gnome related features.

It was started to be used in Anjuta debugger. The widget is incomplete
does not mean it is abandoned. It's just a matter of someone coming up
with some time.

Instead of spending so much time on worry about the name and
reduction, I would rather see more work done fixing the gdl dock widget
which would actually help it get into gtk+. The whole reason the widget
couldn't be put in gtk+ is because it needs fixing and not because the name
is bothersome.
