[Gnome-devtools] devtools-common lib?

What does everyone think about having some sort of devtools-common
library, similar to the office tools library people are talking about
building from gnumeric and evolution?  There is a bit of code that
would be useful to share between all the projects, including:

* event-service code (assuming we stick to the CORBA event service for
  events).
* The Desktop::Editor libraries.

and I'm sure there's other things that will be shared between the
devtools at some point.

Thoughts?
