Just add a file chooser button, but still allow the icon to be
dragged. Does this sound familiar? It should, because that's how the
save screenshot dialog works. So there you have your testing as well.

Personally I believe that it's more natural to create a document
before it's being edited, but this would always be useful
functionality for exporting.
