Hi Daniel!You've got a point there; however this symbol (along with some others) are not "published" as they are not in any of the .h file which are distributed, this is why they were "hidden".
So you're right, technically it's an ABI break, however I don't see how one could have used them without knowing they were not published, so I don't think this is really a problem.See https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=669801 for more information.
