You've got a point there; however this symbol (along with some others) are not "published" as they are not in any of the .h file which are distributed, this is why they were "hidden".

So you're right, technically it's an ABI break, however I don't see how one could have used them without knowing they were not published, so I don't think this is really a problem.

Note the prefix "_".

AFAIK this is an API break. This make that GI detects it as a class in 5.0, but a record in 5.1.
