i didn't see the code or the api, but i wanted to know: the sql is made by the provider? i think he should, because of differences on sql syntax

The GdaSqlBuilder only builds a (kind of opaque) structure which represents an SQL statement. When rendering as SQL, each provider has the control over how it is rendered, so this is where SQL specificities are handled.
