Hi,
as of revision #3208 libgda population was much faster. I just tested it
with the exact same code as for #3238.
I'll open a bug for this so that it won't be forgotten.
Good idea. I started to look at it and I think the problem comes from the fact that when a GdaDataModelIter is created for a GdaDataSelect, meta data are used to compute some of the column's attributes and that takes a long time. I'll investigate further ASAP.
