[gnome-db] libgda rev 3238 slowness

Hi Vivien,

I'm facing a terrible slowness (10 to 15 times) with Anjuta's population
and libgda rev #3238. I didn't add any new logic but just adapted some
apis to compile with latest revision.
Do you have any clue?

btw: I just tested with 3238, but probably the problem is present also
with previous revs.
