There are 2 steps involed there: choosing the application which you'll
be using as your new contact management system, and migrating data.

About choosing an application, I personally use Evolution but my
requirements may differ from yours. Please consult websites such as
Freshmeat.net or Gnomefiles.org.

Data migration depends on how you can export the data from the ACT
software (there is apparently an ExportACT module for that). If you
can't have a better export format, then the CSV format is usually
understood by many import filters for the new app you'll have choosen.

If you need to perform some transformations on the exported data
before it can be imported into the new application, then there are
some things I'll be able to help with using Libgda's import/export
capabilities.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Vivien
