Could we have some more context for this error, please. Presumably it's
some script that needs to not hard code it's perl path. That can be
fixed.

This is generated - see the Makefile.am there. Maybe the \n is also in
the Makefile.am. GTK+ does the same thing, so this can obviously be made
to work.
