Yes, I would really like to see libgda follow the GNOME 2.8 schedule:
http://www.gnome.org/start/2.7/
That means API freeze on July 19th - I see no reason to wait longer.
Also, this would mean that I could package glom for distros, because
libgda 2.0 could be packaged.
I think it's worth mentioning on desktop-devel-list now, even if you
don't want to propose it until GNOME 2.10.
