Sorry to be a pain,  but what version are known to work.  I scouted
about and it seems that my version are current (unless I missed
something)...

automake-1.4-8
autoconf-2.13-10

A document specifying what versions of dependencies that are known to
work would be helpful.  I'm willing to maintain such a file if people
will send information.
