The this is _not_ possible now a days is a _false_ statement.  I wont go
into a license holy war.  I will say that if you _MUST_ dirty this
project by doing it as LGPL please dual license as GPL/LGPL to at least
show that you dont devalue the GPL but rather feel some "commercial"
need to be accepted.

BTW:

GPL 3 at least (GNUe Core)


Please remember a large reason LGPL existed was to be more _accepted_ in
areas where there was competition.  Example KDE was much more mature
than GNOME.  Therefore they felt the LGPL would get them more developers
to help surplant KDE.  I believe Gnome-DB currently has no prop
competition on Linux and therefore should remain GPL until some outside
force puts it in a position where that makes the most sense.

Above all whether you do GPL or LGPL please make sure assignments and
disclaimers are handled properly for the work!  This is in many ways as
important as the license you choose.
