and I forgot to say that this is the biggest step towards making the GDA
libs GNOME independant. The other things that should be changed are to
convert from the GTK object system to the new GObject in glib (which
should be straightforward from what I've seen in the Glib 1.3 code), and
to use GConf instead of gnome_config API (which does not appear to be
straightforward, but it's not difficult at all).

But, for the GNU Enterprise people, even if gda-libs are fully
GNOME-independant tomorrow morning, you won't be able to release a
'stable release' till the end of year or so, since those (OAF, gconf,
glib 1.3) are work-in-progress and are only distributed as unstable
releases, and won't be released as stable until GNOME 2.0 sees the
light.
