RE: Using gnome-db in Glade

Running debian 2.2.

First install was the debian package.  List of files in the package did not
include gnome-db.

Downloaded tarball to directory /usr/local for another installation.
'gzip -cd.....' created directory /usr/local/glade-0.5.9 and
/usr/local/glade-0.5.9/glade/gnome-db.

Ran ./configure,make, make install, glade
The program came up with only basic, additional and gnome tabs in the palette.
After the glade entry there was a message /dev/dsp: No such device

Scanned several files looking for a gnome-db enabling switch.
Any specifics?
